My name is Meghan Murphy and I'm a senior at Auburn University studying software engineering.
I'm interested in full-stack development. I've taken several fun courses at Auburn that have helped me navigate what I want to do, including Mobile App Development, The Design of Coffee (An Introduction to Chemical Engineering), CrossFit, and several others.
Mobile app development was a class I took where we used Swift and SwiftUI to build a wide variety of iOS applications involving: Firebase Authentication, API implementation, SFX and music, and more.
The design of coffee was a very rewarding class, where we learned the basic concepts of what chemical engineering is through the roasting and brewing of coffee beans. During this class, I took a liking to roasting beans, and since then I have started roasting them on my own time. I enjoyed this class, because it taught me the concepts of another engineering discipline through a delicious beverage!
These classes and organizations I have been a part of have been very beneficial for my growth here at Auburn.
I have a dog and a cat named Ruby and Ozzie, respectively. I've had Ruby since January 2022 and in the summer of 2024 my family found Ozzie as a tiny kitten. Ruby loves anything to do with treats or new puppy clothes, and Ozzie loves all things that he's not supposed to eat.
